Join us for an exclusive tour led by BAMPFA curator Margot Norton of Making Their Mark: Works from the Shah Garg Collection, an exhibition drawn from one of the world’s leading private collections of work by women artists. Assembled by the Bay Area philanthropist Komal Shah and her husband Gaurav Garg, the Shah Garg Collection celebrates intergenerational dialogue and mutual support between women artists of the past eighty years. A pathbreaking historical representation of over 70 works illuminating affinities, influences, and methodologies among artists from the postwar era to the present.

After the exhibition tour, we will visit the James Cahill Asian Art Study Center for a rare behind-the-scenes peek at the world-renowned collection of Chinese and Japanese paintings.
